FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ

Selecting the right service must take into account a number of factors such as the value, weight and size of the cargo, speed of delivery and preferred route. Sometimes situations may arise where the same type of cargo will be transported in different ways for various reasons. The Cosmos Niga team is available to provide you with expert advice and find the most convenient transport solution.

Although there are no specific transport restrictions, each type of cargo has a dedicated solution. However, it is important to consider the following aspects: the cargo must be packed in standard size pallets (120 x 180 cm), the maximum weight per parcel must be under 70 kg, you must provide information about the recipient's postcodes and the shipper, the required transit time, the contents and value of the cargo, and additional requirements must be stated before loading, not during transportation. The Cosmos Niga team is dedicated to answering all your requirements and finding optimal solutions for your transport.

Customs formalities are mandatory for goods crossing international borders, except within the EU. Brokerage services are included in our quotations, but VAT and import customs duties must be paid to the customs authorities by the customer. These charges are calculated on both the value of the goods and the value of the transport. Our team can provide assistance in calculating customs duties and value added tax (VAT) charges to estimate costs in advance. The Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) option is available at an additional cost and commission fee.

INCOTERMS, short for International Commercial Terms, is a set of standardized terms used in international trade to define the responsibilities and obligations of the parties involved in commercial transactions. These terms set out the terms of delivery of the goods, including the transfer of risks and costs between the seller and the buyer. The proper use of INCOTERMS ensures clarity and precision in the delivery process and can influence the final price of the goods.

To insure the goods during transport, please provide a copy of the freight bill. Depending on the route you choose, we will offer you several insurance options. Our team will take care of the formalities and issue insurance policies on your behalf, based on the collaboration with our insurance partners.
